I am involved with restoring a US Coast Guard lightship equipped with three sets of DD2-71 gen/sets and two DD 6-71's for main propulsion. Organization wants to run main prop. engines for display purposes only with no load (ship is landlocked for display). Question: what diameter fresh water line with city water pressure would be required to supply enough volume to keep the DD's from overheating???
Any help rendered would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any ideas on where to obtain manuals???

"Let me get the specific's of what type of cooling system they currently have. Probably uses heat exchangers, but they could be modified for use with "flow through" water pressure from a city water source.
