i have a 1999 40hp nissan very

i have a 1999 40hp nissan very clean well taken care of low hours compression is great everything is great except. one in a while you can be running down the lake at 5200rpms and suddenly it will drop a cylinder and drop down to 4000rpms. i can turn it off and crank it up and it will run fine for a while then it will do it again.it seems like it does it the most when the water is rough. two service centers one nissan and one tohatsu checked it completely they cant get it to mess up. please help
 
Intermittent problems can be h

Intermittent problems can be hard to find. Sounds like an electrical problem where you are losing spark to one cylinder. You will have to check for spark when the engine drops the RPM.
