"Whats the difference between

"Whats the difference between a DVA and 3 pin harness adapter? My Yamaha 90hp service manual calls for a 3 pin harness adapter to check the output of the charging coil. There's no mention of a DVA in the manual & I have done or read just about every electrical test in the factory manual except for the charging & lighting coils which call for a 3 pin adapter.

the 3 pin is just an adapter

the 3 pin is just an adapter
buy a dva and you can unplug the trigger and stator to test it
