"I need hell regarding commercioal outboards.
At this moment is mandatory to have commercial grade outboards to be provider to the Colombian Navy.
Is it there any regulatory organization that provides commercial grade certification or it is only a marketing strategy?
Yamaha says the have the F200B that works with 84 RON octane with 9.0 compressin ratio in the same block used in the U.S. , is it possible to reduce compression ratio in the same block and reach the same 200hp at 5500 rpm"

"You will find that the "commercial" designation is a lot of hype and even so called "officials" do not understand.A tiller handle and manual start designate some motors as "commercial". On some models the two cylinder motors are equipped with a 3 cylinder lower unit,3 cylinder motors have the 3 cylinder lower units (deemed rugged enough) and the V-4 models have a 6 cylinders lower unit.I doubt that anyone can swing the opinion of "officials" as they only have paper work and orders to follow."
