"I just purchased a 1976 Glastron T-178 with a 1989 Johnson 88 SPL. I have ordered the engine manual, but it will not be here until next week. Could someone tell me the fuel-oil mix for this engine so that I can take the boat out this weekend for Memorial Day? I have been promising my kids that I would get the boat out as soon as possible, and it is ready. I don't want to trust the guy I got the boat from, because I found a piece of Pepsi can rolled up and being used as a fuse. Thanks."
 
50:1 or 1 pint of TCW-3 oil to

50:1 or 1 pint of TCW-3 oil to 6 gal of gas. I would be looking to see what made that fuse blow. It may just be a dirty or loose connection.
