"Johnson 9.9 1978 10sel78 started up fine cold. runs strong under a load well into operating temp. Doesn't want to restart hot. Took off carb cleaned, new kit, back on , got it started, ran solid on the muffs until hot. shut it off, won't restart. wants to but seems like it's starving for fuel. any help would be appr."

"squeeze the primer bulb,next time this happens,maybe a bad fuel pump....carb areas,..orifices,.need to be absolutely clean/clear to wk right."
 
frustrated...you have to make

frustrated...you have to make a decision on whether its a fuel problem or an ignition problem...electrical/electronic parts can fail when in a cooling down mode...run it til hot and it fails and see if you got spark...you got a clamp on timing light?good luck..Carl
