Setting trim senderlimiter switch

I have a '92 A

I have a '92 Alpha I that's in need of a new trim sender/limiter switch (both sides). How do I set the switch that controls the trim pump such that the pump cuts off at the appropriate position?

"Hello Josh,

The trim limit switch is adjustable the length of the slots. To find a starting point -
(1) with the switch in your hand and somone activating the trim button, rotate the knob on the switch until the drive just starts to move. (2) Install the switch on the outdrive. Activate the trim switch and adjust the sender so that the power is cut off when the rams move out about six inches (the length of a dollar bill). (3) Tighten the screws and test a couple of times - that should do it.
