i just recieved this engine an

i just recieved this engine and it runs great. the only problem is the flame arrester. The vent tube at high rpm spews bits of oil and the mount on the arrester doesn't catch it. Is there a more current type of arrester with a working vent tube? where is the vent tube supposed to go? or does it just end there?

"The arrestor is supposed to hold the end of the tube to guide fumes into the arrestor. Yes it ends there. If you are getting "bits" of oil there is a problem with excess blow-by, tired rings. You could try to put a piece of very coarse foam or screen to act as a baffle, the oil should cling to it and drip back into the cover."
