AQAD40A Oil pressure alarm switch

"Greetings to all from Australia.

We have a problem with an oil pressure alarm coming on when the engine is idling (and hot). The gauge shows 25-30psi but the alarm comes on at that. The alarm goes away when throttled above idle and the oil pressure increases. I suspect a faulty alarm switch.

Could anyone advise what pressure would be normal at idle and at what pressure should the alarm activate? It would also be a great help if someone knew what size hex the switch has because I need to buy a long socket or tube spanner to get in there.

"THERE IS NO MIN IDLE OIL PRESSURE LISTED. THE NOMAL OPERATING SPEED OIL PRESSURER IS 59.7-71.1 PSI. I WHOULD THINK ETHER THE SENDER IS OFF OR YOU MIT NEED TO SET RPM,S UP A LITTLE.HOPE THIS HELPS."
