" 1947 Chrysler Ace M6 This is strange I blew out a part of my exhaust manifold gasket on the upper (forward) cylinder. So I took it off and discovered that the first long bolt that goes thew my manifold was eaten into. On further inspection found that there is a hold in the casting on that first exhaust port around the stud. Now it doesn't leak around the nut on the outside of the casting and not up against the block so is this serious, common or should I replace the stud? should I try and have the hole welded up (hard to get to)? replace the stud with a SS one?
