"Hey guys. Anyone have or know where I can get the oil pressure relief plunger, spring, and cap for a '46 ace? Thanks!"

How did you loose that? Try http://www.oldmoparts.com/l.htm. They have spring kits. Different color spring raised or lowered the pressure. If they don't have the other parts I believe you can use a ball bearing of correct bore , a spring and pipe plug. Check with Dipietro-kay in CT before doing the ball bearing thing. Goodluck!"

"I've got the spring and plunger. When the engine came back from the machine shop, it was missing alot of parts. Of course they dont know how the parts could get misplaced!! Thanks for the web site."

"The hydro gear shift got sluggish. A new ball in the relief did not help. I removed the ball and hooked up the manual shift. Is there any down side to disabling the relief valve to remove the pressure so the manual shifter will work? So far, nothing adverse has appeared."
