"I have a 1985 5.7 with OMC outdrive. This unit is not power steering. Is it normal to steer very very hard? My wife can't even attempt to turn right under half throttle. Left with the torque of the prop is no problem, but forget right unless you back off the throttle. If this is normal for my old fossil, is there an aftermarket power steering solution?"
