I need good accurate info on t

I need good accurate info on the ecm in my 2006 Regal with a Volvo Penta 4.3 GXi I understand for 06 VP no longer using the GM MEFI ecm and 06 version is called EGC ..is that OBD1 technology or OBD11 ?? and what scan tool is compatible

all info appreciated or point me to someone who has this info Thanks Bill

FWIW I now know that Marine ecm's do not use the automotive OBD technology ....they are unique so OBD 1 etc does not apply

For 2006 VP has stopped using the GM MEFI ecm and now use an ecm from EGC ..the software in the scan tools compatible with MEFI will not work ,however Rinda has a "EGC" specific scan tool and or software upgrade for some of their old MEFI scan tools HTH"
