"I've used this site before and you guys are a very big help (thanks Michael and others). I'm trying to buy a lower unit, I know that the SPL's are all 20" shaft's and I know the range of hp and years (40-50hp and 1989-1992) that can be used as a replacement for the lower unit. However I was told that even in this range there are two different types of lower units that have different shift connecters. Does anyone know if this is true (or which one I need)? THANKS SO MUCH!!
