Ive got a 40hp on a 16 ft jon

Ive got a 40hp on a 16 ft jon boat need to know the best prop to put on i took off a 11 pitch factory prop seemed to be running at a real high rpm ..Also would like to know what parts are needed to convert over to elect start tired of pullin!!!

"Need a little more information - for the conversion, need your model number.

As to the prop - 11 pitch sounds a little low, but it's difficult to say that it just sounds to be revving high - it may be well within the acceptable range.

If you know the weight of your boat either loaded or the dry weight, I can throw some numbers in a prop calculator for you and see what it spits out. But ultimately, you really need a tach to properly match a prop to a rig..."
 
A 10 pitch is the next lowest

A 10 pitch is the next lowest and you would need an electric start kit...They run between $525 and $600.
