"I have been running a 24:1 mixture using a tcw3 pre-mix oil. On the engine cover, it says to use a regular outboard oil or SAE 30 motor oil and mix it 24:1.
My question is this, Are todays oils to advanced to run at this ratio for this old dog? Should I switch and run it with SAE 30 motor oil like it calls for? How much will this affect the performance of the motor? How much does an elevation difference make in performance?
I have been to the lake 3 times and It ran good the first time, a little bit worse the 2nd time, and completely horrible the 3rd time (different elevation)fouling plugs and very hard to start.
Also what kinds of parts do I need to re-build the carb?
