350 chevy broken starter bolt straight to offset mounting

"I have a 350 chevy in a 81 searay, well the high torque starter ear broke off on the outside and then snapped long bolt off in inside, how do I get this out also I have a striaght bolt pattern starter now can I use just get a different starter and bolt it up with the offset bolts. thanks"

you would have to change to a big flywheel to use a starter with offset bolts. sorry
 
Just wondering why a high torq

Just wondering why a high torque starter broke these things.Are you sure you are not getting water into one or more cylinders creating hydro-lock and beating up the starter.Just a thought...Todd

The Starter bolt pattern determines Which diameter Flywheel is used,...
So,... No,.. You can Not just change the Starter.....

To Fix the broken bolt Issue,....
Pull the motor,+ flip it over to do the deed....."
