Sn on sticker is worn off . No

Sn on sticker is worn off . Not sure of year was repowerd from origional boat date ? Any sugestions ? Out drive is alphia one 260 V8 . Where can I look ?
 
Carefully remove the SN sticke

Carefully remove the SN sticker and look at it under a bright light w/a magnifying glass. Remnants of the # may be visible.

"If its a repower it should have a new metal SN tag rivetted to the block just in front of the starter on the stbd side, below the exhaust manifold.
