"We relocated from 200' above sea level to 4,800' above sea level and my 2006 Yamaha F15 4 Stroke went from a top end of close to 28 mph (GPS) to about 5 mph! I have a G3 15' v-haul I use for duck hunting. I contacted Yamaha and three Yamaha dealerships and none of them will endorse re-jetting the motor. In fact the factory said "that's just the way it is". The motor starts and runs smooth as silk just no rpms/top end at all. I did drop from a 9 1/4 x 11 prop down to a 9/14 x 9 prop and that made absolutey no difference at all. Is there anywhere that I can possibly get information on re-jetting so I can do it myself, the Yamaha people were about as useless as this motor is. Very disappointed. I can't believe they don't use outboards in the Rockies, or if so how they can be satisified at a third the horsepower. I wish I would have known this prior to relocating, at least I could have sold the thing before we moved. Big mistake.
Thanks for any recommendations."
