I am a 34ft Californain with twin 4-236's.
Would like to get an estimate of fuel usage gals/hr and any good/bad comments about the engine

"I own a Californian with twin Perkins 200 turbo with which I am having an electrical problem. A breaker back near the right rear of the engine trips any time the motor runs more than a few moments. This tripped breaker has no apparent effect on the operation of the motor but I fear the battery may not be charging when this happens. Also have noticed that that same engines voltmeter shows a charge rate of 16 volts. Could that be the culprit? Is the alternator over charging causing the breaker to trip? This boat is new to me and I am trying to work out the bugs, any help will be appreciated.
