I'm looking for a fuel pump for my '72 Chris Craft Catalina with flywheel forward GM 350Q engines.
Can't seem to find these anywhere. It's a Carter fuel pump with 4698S stamped on the flange.
Any idea's.

Use an aftermarket electric pump for carbs. The "medium" size pump for most auto parts houses. Has worked for last 4 years on mine.

I found a NEW old stock fuel pump at an old marina nearby. I prefer the mechanicals to electric. However I may need to someday go to the Carter electric marine fuel pump kits. They include the Oil pressure sensors in to prevent the fire hazard.

"Hi Mark; There is a fellow in New York who will sell you the kit or a rebuilt pump. the kit is around $100, the pump around $180. You will have to send him your old core (the core charge makes you agreeable).
Contact Jim Manges at Anchor Marine here in Erie, Pennsylvania (814) 452-1717 and chat with him.....the man is a marvel. Steve"
