I would like to know if I a 9&

I would like to know if I a 9" or 9.5" diameter prop be used on my 9.8 tohatsu. I a newbie and all help would be appreciated. The motor is on a 14' jon boat with approx 750lbs including motor. I dont want to tear my motor up thanks in advance
 
Diameter is totally irrelevant

Diameter is totally irrelevant. You only need to be concerned with the pitch of the prop.

"Yes, with that particular motor/rig setup you could run anything from about an 7 pitch to a 10 or maybe even 11 pitch without falling outside of the wide open throttle range for your motor.

You don't have a great deal of diameter choice on small motors and while the diameter technically would cause a very minimal difference, you would never see it and your motor would never notice it..."
