91 evinrude 70hp Engine dies at 1500hp

"Engine cuts out at around 150

"Engine cuts out at around 1500RPM under load. <5mph. It runs perfect using high idle. I can rev the motor all day, but when prop is engaged i just putter along the lake.

Give me a good place to start??? Thanks in advance guys...

There a good chance no spark to one cly. motor will idle great but stumbles loads and dies when you throttle up coil? plug wire ? powerpack? Sensor coil? May also be low on compression? Check for cracked coils
 
That would make alot of sense.

That would make alot of sense. I'll check that I get a spark on all the plugs tonite. Come to think of it. I blew a fuse on the motor the day before the problems started happening. I never even thought of the plugs.
 
FIXED IT!!! I figured I should

FIXED IT!!! I figured I should update this for the next guy who can't figure this out. There is a small plastic piece(starboard side motor) that connects to the Throttle/Carb linkage that was cracked right down the middle. It moves a sensor 1/4" or so. The plastic was cracked in a way that you couldn't see it very easily. Hope this helps someone else...
