I totally disassemble

Bert:

I totally disassembled mine and rebuilt it including a new NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH and TRIM WIRE COILED HARNESS. You've got 1 large and 2 small bearings inside of it. Take some pics. as you go and mark the position of the cams for reinstallation.

"I was wondering how to get the handle off of it. But I got my trim working so it appears to be a moot point now. It works well, switches are good seems smooth so I think I'll leave it alone for now.

For future reference; there is

For future reference; there is a set or allen screw on the lower side that holds the handle onto a splined shaft.
