I bought a 1977 Searay with a Mercruiser 888 I/O so I assume that this is a Ford 5.0l 302 cu in motor. My dumb question is Where is the oil dipstick located? I have searched all over and I cannot find it at all. Any help with this is greatly appreciated."

"I believe that linc that Guy is listing is for a GM inline engine. Ford 888 IS on the port side but I believe it is mounted on/thru the flange of the block where the pan bolts to. Center/middle of block.
Got several 5L Ford engines, some auto some marine, when it quits raining, I will go look and see if there is a difference in dipstick location. Anyway, if you cant find the tube, look for a hole where the tube used to be."
