"Hello all!!! I am looking at buying a 43 Mariner with twin 475 "they tell me" hp Detroit 6 cyl turbo motors the boat was built in 1984 and has 3700hrs. Q is there anything i should look for or worry about?? Are the hrs to high?? Would they be pretty worn by now and in need of potential major repair?The boat is in very good condition and they tell me its about 16tone and will cruise at 16-17 and a top of 22-23?? would this be right and if so would i expect fuel consumption to be large? Any guidance before purchase would be sensational, Thanks."
