Question for Tohatsu 35 owners fuel consumption

"I have a question for people who is using Tohatsu 3.5 ( to help me to decide on a question electrical vs gas)

Can you tell me how long you can run on one full tank of the petrol ? I am little bit confused. So far I thought that gas motors have better running time comparing to electrical engines (full tank vs fully charged battery). But I have just read info on Tohatsu MFS3.5 which I almost bought yesterday (http://www.tohatsu.com/outboards/3_5_4st_spec.html) which has 1 liter tank. The average fuel consumption according to the manufacturer (http://www.tohatsu.co.jp/en/boat/sales/fuelconsumpt.html) is 1.7 Liters/Hour

Does it mean that I will be able to run only 40 min on full tank ?

I have a four stroke and it holds .32 gal. (1.2 Lit.)It would run at full throttle about 60 minutes. The dealer rejetted it recently and now it runs about 50 minutes.
If I run it at one quarter or less throttle it will run about 4 hours."
