I have a 9r 71r johnson out board that i am having problems with. When i crank it i am getting no water out of the hole right under the engine cover. However I am getting plenty of air flow coming from it. Also there is what the manual called a water passage under a bracket for the rewind starter and when i take the starter off i will get water coming out of that hole so that makes me think the water pump is working. So what is my problem? Am i looking in the wrong place for the water discharge?
