need help on 1965 johnson char

need help on 1965 johnson charging system. how it works? i can see 2 yellow wires coming from under the flywheel i asume these are the AC voltage. also near them are a red and a green i can no clue about these are for
if can figure what does what.. i try to use a full wave rectifier to convert AC to DC am i on the right track?

If you post the proper information you will get help! In 1965 the largest Johnson motor made was 90HP. So what have you got MODEL # ???

sry my mistake i also have a 115 mercury and had senior moment lol

it is indeed a 90 hp model V4M-11
a wiring diagram would be very helpful

thks for any help
