Here is whats on my mind.My brother just bought a 89 Carver 30 with 350 engines having 290 drives with duo-props.B-4 props I think.The problem is that shifting is very hard when his only run was taking it out last fall, but the boat had a few other things we had to deal with such as over a year old fuel and some stall issues we worked out.Normally I read manuels but he has them and I believe he needs to replace that shift cable as it should work smooth.Am writing before investigating on this one guys.We have worked with Mercs and can tear into them no problem, but never dealt with VP 290 and was wondering if its an easier cable swap usually or much more to it.Am sure there is coroded parts to deal with."
