"Team,
I have just 'uns
"Team,
I have just 'unstuck' a stubborn sticking steering cable from my 1989 Johnson 110HP Outboard.
Underneath the powerhead at top of leg, I have had to pull the ram out of the tilt tube and clean it right up.
In this process, I have discovered the seal
on end of the tilt tube where the steering rod comes out has failed and need to replace it.
I want to use a new rubber boot with felt liner for instead of the threaded plastic one.
People I have liaised with have used these rubber boots when they replaced their own seals for this application.
I have looked on the BRP online catalogue - but could not locate it.
I am hoping you guys can help me firstly name this seal, locate it on the BRP catalogue and provide a part number.
Thoughts?
