Replacing impleller on merc 50 2003 Bravo 3

I need to replace the plastic

I need to replace the plastic impeller for the water pump and gasket. I've never done this before but I do have the manuals.Any reccomendations.

Some people prelube them with Vasoline,.....

I actually looked through the manuals and basic info on replacing the impeller. I know that if i'm looking at the stern the pulley is the bottom left. Do i need to remove the belt to change impeller??

"remove the pump from the engine, and rebuild it on a bench. sounds like extra work, but it will be much easier in the end. really."
