"Tim, how are you determining that it is running hot? I have a similar model - no tell-tale, just the weep holes on the exhaust housing.

Since there is no exhaust tube on these little models the upper part of the exhaust housing and lower portion of the powerhead can get quite warm to the touch, but if you go through the hassle of splitting/removing the upper cowls the actual powerhead itself is not that hot..."
