"I got the motor to turn over

"I got the motor to turn over with the key after going through all my wireing, I had "fogger" in the carb's and it started up for about 1 min then shut down, I removed the carbs so I can clean them, I now have the motor's block (where the carbs go) faceing the cieling and I put about a half of a pint into each opening so the inside is well loubed, when I put the carbs back on the block, should I remove the plugs and give the oil/gas mixure a chance to run through the motor or just fire it up?....sorry if my questions seem stupid, but I just dont want to tare it up...Thank you all for your patiences and answers."

you better make sure plugs are

you better make sure plugs are out or you may wind up with a hydralic lock and bend a rod when you turn it over. I would say a half pint in each cyl. is a lot
