i'm looking at an older 4.

i'm looking at an older 4.3 that hasn't been used for a couple of yrs has been wrapped what would be the first things to look for

"Is there WATER in the bilge?

"Is there WATER in the bilge?

Was it winterized when wrapped, oil changed--should be clean?

Fuel has probably turned to water and varnish--is the tank dry?

What is the condition of the batteries? Were they stored with a trickle charger to maintain them?

Will the engine crank fast or slow?

Check oil in OD; should be clean and up to the bottom of the vent.

Tires on trailer stored off the ground? Dry rotted?

Check trailer brakes if equipped; check the brake fluid master cylinder for rusty fluid--mastercylinder needs replaced along with wheel cylinders if there is rust in the bottom of it--rub your finger on the inside bottom of the reservior.

Check the surge shock absorber for loss of seal.

Front of tongue should not move by hand if shock is good."
