The shifter assy. ha

The shifter assy. has 2 main parts, the outer and inner section. The shift handle is held in place w/a nut. The 2 sections are held together by approx. 4 machine screws while the outer face plate is secured with wood screws.

On mine the large button at the bottom is pushed to put the unit in neutral. To remove it just squeeze it to pop it off. and reveal the nut. A plastic cover is glued on to hide the other screws. If you disassemble the unit take some pics. for reassy."
