"I have a Bertram 46 with 2 8v71 turbocharged eng, 1976 model. What fuel consumption can I expect at 1000, 1500 and 2000rpm, max rpm 2100"
 
per engine gal/hr
1200 = 14.5

per engine gal/hr
1200 = 14.5
1500= 18
2000= 23
2100= 24 hope this helps

Am looking at a commercial ves

Am looking at a commercial vessel w/ 950 hp 16V149's and wondered what the fuel consumption would be. Also can I derate them and what difference will that make? Unfortunately the vessel cannot be run at high rpm and repowering is out of the question.

"I have a 1980 42 Ocean w/ twin 6-71 TI's (450hp). I am changing the old fuel/water seperator system to Racors. Is the 60gph filter enough for these engines? Also, I got some water in a fuel tank that caused one of the engines to blow blk smoke when the filter filled with water. I would drain and replace the filter and the smoking would be less. The turbo would kick in but it would still blow a little blk smoke at 1800 rpm's. Could I still have water in tank causing this? And can this damage my injectors?"

its interesting.i have the same vehicle and i have installed new fuel injector.
now its fuel consumption is awesome.
