where would i find the serial

where would i find the serial number on my Evinrude 150 outboard? im trying to see what year it is

"The serial number won't do it. You need to locate the "model" number. Look for a plate on the port (left) transom bracket (bkt that attaches eng to boat)..... OR if a fairly late model, at the top area of the swivel bracket (bkt that the engine turns on)..... OR on a core plug (looks like a small quarter size freeze out plug) somewhere on the powerhead. Let us know what you find.
