"Maybe I am doing to much research,but I came across some mention of serious corrosion on older Bravo III's. Do the members have any info about this. My impresssion was that the units were solid if given proper maintenance

That is a given for normal service life. I have seen little discussion of the subject in the past 18 months.

Guy is spot on and I agree with him when he says that there has been little discussion on the topic in the last 18 months, and given proper maintainance all should be fine.
All I can say is that in the last 2 years I cannot remember seeing one boat fitted up with Bravo 3's, I have seen heaps of 2's and tons of Alphas but no 3's.
