I'm trying to find a replacement coil for my dad's '71 Chrysler 55hp outboard. I understand from others that the new part for this design (located under the flywheel) is no longer available thru dealers. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find a replacement or other alternative? Thanks.
 
Just bought a 55 BHP Chrysler.

Just bought a 55 BHP Chrysler. First boat and motor. Model # 559 BD. Would like to know what year this as I am sure I will be ordering parts. Any information you can give me about this engine is greatly appreciated. Thanx
