I'm looking to buy a used long shaft 2hp, but finding mostly short shafts available."

"If you absolutely need a long shaft drop into any Honda dealer and they could hook you up with all the parts to convert. Just don't be shocked if you need to relieve your wallet of between 200-300 bucks.

Alternately, for less than a 1/3 of the cost you can get an adjustable kicker bracket that would allow you to lower the motor when in use and raise it out of the water, preventing extra drag if using a larger motor...."
 
Looking at the 2 hp as a dingy

Looking at the 2 hp as a dingy kicker for an Eli 8 Scout and also for a Walker Bay 8. Short shaft would be correct? Any help appreciated.
