671 block heater

I have a bad block heater on m

I have a bad block heater on my JT 671 (built in 1989) I want to replace it but its behind the fuel pump can I just take the 3 bolts out of the pump and keeping the hoses tight just slide the pump back to get to the block heater. or should I go ahead and get a local Mechanic to take care of it

"should be ok if they are rubber hose,s, but if metal pipes then they must be removed from pump."
