"Hi,I am getting a "low vo

"Hi,I am getting a "low voltage" display from my depthfinder when trolling at low idle speed.I am also installing a new stator for other operating reasons.Should this new take care of the low voltage problem or could this be a totally different problem?
p.s. the battery is charged and or new! Thanks

put the meter on a/c volts
now put the meter on the battery
raise rpm to around 1500 rpm
if you see more than .8V bad reg/rectifier
then you switch over to volts, you want at least 13.5 volts"
