I have a 2006 Honda 4 stroke w

I have a 2006 Honda 4 stroke with carbs. During the off season here in Jacksonville Fla. I run my engine each week with new gas from a mini tank for 15 minutes. Should I disconnect the fuel hose from the tank and let the engine run until it quits or shut the engine off normally ?

"Dave, most engines should be allowed to run out of gas if it is going to be layed up for a few weeks. For prolonged periods you may even want to pull the carb and completely empty the bowl. Gas can't gum up if it isn't there..."
