I have a 1988 Mercruiser Alpha

I have a 1988 Mercruiser Alpha One 2.5 120HP. When I run it and shut it off gas keeps running into the carburetor making it hard to re-start. What would be the best way to remedy it. New carb or rebuild?

"Rebuilts are cheaper and, if the mechanic knows what he's doiung, better. I bought a Holley carb BRAND NEW that needs cleaning.
