To major or not to major

Recently had a smoking

Recently had a smoking problem and found a cracked seat. Did a head job and fixed. In the process, I've been told the firebox around the cylinders show corrosion and suggest I major the engines. 2575 hours. Both engines currently run fine. Do I wait for something else, or am I setting my self up for a larger problem? Major now or later?"

"Marvin - My reply doesn't necessarily say whay I meant. With your input, I will be putting this off until necessary. I just wasn't sure if having evidence of a problem such as this should be tended to now or not. Thanks"
