"I recently purchased a lobsterboat with a 8v92 with 5600 hrs. on it. The engine runs good, but blue smoke continues out of the port side exhaust.
Did a compression test, 1 was 440, 2 was 460 and 3 and 4 were at 420. I understand the min. amount is 450 on compression for this engine. Will this engine hold up awhile, or is a rebuild the immediate consideration."
