I need to know what I have to change on e ford 302 engine to convert it to a marine application

One thing I know that they don't discuss that I would recommend is changing the casting plugs between the rocker arms under the valve covers. The have a recess casting for a square drive and the metal in the middle is thin. They have a tendency to rot out causing water to get in the engine. This of course is if you are using it in saltwater although it would hurt even in fresh water. I used regular galvanized pipe plugs. Good luck.
