I have a 2001 Bluewater with a 3.0l volvo in it. I had a problem with the raw water pump and overheated it. Found water in the block so had the head and exhaust manifold magnafluxed and pressure tested and all were ok. Put it back together and had no water in block after 30 hours of use. Checked oil after last use and crankcase is full of water. Should I just put another motor in it or have it checked again? Just don't understand how it could go 30 hours with no water in it then have the case filled with water. It didn't have an exhaust flap in it so I wonder if maybe that could be it. Any info would be appreciated.

" Mike,

The water may have entered when you overheated and shut down. A hot engine may diesel backwards on shutdown thus sucking water in. Eventually this water will seep past rings and down in the pan. You have tested head and manifold, run for 30 hours with no problem. Why buy another motor ?
