b98 Honda 90 carburetor leak

"I may have waited too long to winterize my motor before the carbs gummed up (again), but in trying to run the motor and get some carb cleaner into it I've observed gas pouring out of the side of the middle carb where there is a silver disc covering what I guess is the jet. Any ideas as to why gas would be pouring out here? Is it a stuck float? The motor is really running badly but I'm afriad to run it much because of the fire hazard from the leak...."
 
Sounds like a bad float valve

Sounds like a bad float valve in that carburetor.When taking the boat out of the water run the engine with gas disconnected till it stops.The jets are so small these days that they plug up from the lousy gas that is sold these days.Running carb cleaner into a motor is a waste of time.The carburetors must be taken apart for cleaning.
